About Me

I grew up in Virginia and have been active since I can remember. I played volleyball, soccer, crew, and horseback riding. I practically lived and breathed volleyball until the summer between my junior and senior year of high school. Just like I had done so many times I went into a beautiful jump serve but that time I dislocated my shoulder, tearing my labrum and trap. This quickly brought my volleyball career to an end and after many failed treatments of physical therapy it resulted in surgery on my shoulder. Though I never did play volleyball again I continued to stay active whether that was running with the dog and pushing the stroller to clear my head, paddle boarding while I soak up some sun, or at the gym lifting heavy.

Exercise has always been my therapy. When life has been tough and hard there's really only two things in the world that have helped me heal and overcome the hell I've been through and that's God and exercise. "Your bodies are temples.. (1 Corinthians 6:19)" it's critical to be spiritually and physically healthy. If you're going to run the race and be the best version of you, then you have to make sure that you are training and nurturing yourself physically and spiritually. That's actually why I'm here and why I became a personal trainer is because I know that I can make a difference and change lives by coaching people how to get to a healthier place physically and spiritually.

This passion of mine came from my desire to help others. It's so rewarding to train my clients and watch their lives change before my very eyes. Every time I get to watch someones visceral fat (the fat that surrounds your organs and kills) drop from a high risk number to normal range it makes me want to cry because I just put years back on their life! And not only are we changing things on the inside but I get to watch this transformation happen inside and out and after just a month or two it's like I'm talking to a whole new person who enjoys coming to the gym and telling me about how they are looking forward to going an doing activities they couldn't do before with the family. I love every second of what I do and I am proud of my clients that put in the hard work and let me annoy them with random texts asking for screenshots of what they ate for the past week!
